What is Human Resource Information System

A human resource information system, also known as an HRIS, is a common software used in HR departments. An HRIS often contains detailed employee information, such as date of birth, full name, start date, role, and much more. This provides one central place where staff records are kept and can be referred back to when necessary.
An HRIS is used to manage many HR functions, including payroll, recruitment, learning & development, performance management, and many more. They can be used to make an HR department more efficient, digitize paper records, and are great for compliance. An HRIS is an excellent source of data that can be used to measure productivity and improvements.
