What are Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Key performance indicators, more commonly known as KPIs, are measurable values set by a company. KPIs are specific and easily definable. They indicate that the employee or company is achieving their targets. Companies use KPIs at many levels – both the organizational level, and there are usually KPIs set for each staff member as well.
A company’s KPIs are more likely to focus on organizational outcomes such as profit or sales, while an employee’s KPIs may focus on work outputs. The KPIs of staff members are often used in performance reviews to measure how much the person has achieved and how productive they are
