Performance Appraisal

Performance appraisals are the way many organizations review the job performance of their employees. They are done on a regular basis, often yearly or quarterly. They are commonly referred to as performance reviews or employee appraisals. The intention of a performance appraisal is to evaluate the work, achievements, and skills of the staff member across the defined time period.
Performance appraisals may be used as a way to determine whether staff members will receive a bonus or pay increase for their work performed. They are a great way of giving feedback to staff on their growth or alternatively, the lack of progress in their work.
