SMART goals

SMART goals are a specific type of goal setting technique based on the acronym ‘SMART’. This stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and finally, Time-based. Each of these five components of the framework ties together to create a fully formed goal that is clear, trackable, and defined.
Goals that are poorly set can be hard to achieve. Maybe your target wasn’t easily measurable, too far-reaching, or it may have simply been unclear. Working towards a SMART goal is much easier because you can track your progress and be clear on when you have reached your target. It’s an excellent technique for setting both professional and personal targets.
