Selection Methods

Selection methods are the way that hiring managers can differentiate between candidates. They are the ways in which candidates are screened to see who has the best skills for the position. Selection methods can include resume screening, interviews, and cognitive assessments. Other examples are group interviews, group assessments, personality profiling, and presentations.
All of the selection methods that you choose to use when hiring must specifically test the skills required for the role. Otherwise, your selection methods won’t be finding you the best person for the position you have open. Recruitment is about finding applicants and selection methods are about determining who of those has the highest chance of success in the role.
