Blind screening

Blind recruitment is a process of hiring people without knowing their gender, race, or other personal information. It means not to take any information that might influence your choice. For example, if you choose between two people of different gender, you would not base your decision based on their gender, or if you are choosing between two people and one of them is from your country, you would not choose that person. Blind recruitment enables you to hire more diverse staff and remove hiring bias from your recruitment process. While there are many benefits to blind recruitment, the method also comes with some disadvantages. For example, it may increase your recruitment cycle; the candidate might not be a ‘cultural fit’ and limit the recruiters approach to researching a candidate ahead of a face to face interview.
