Social media recruiting is somewhat of a newer concept. It involves using social media as part of your hiring process. This can happen in two main ways. The first is using social media to advertise a vacant position. You might add the details of the position to Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, or other social media. Add a link to the application and people can apply that way. The second way to use social media is to directly contact people. Some recruiters use LinkedIn to find suitable passive candidates and ask them directly to apply for an open role.
Both methods of social media recruiting can be highly effective.
