Workflow Integration & Output Quality

These are five sample questions from the Aware User of Bryq’s AI Fluency (MCQ) assessment, a test for hiring employees in any role who use AI tools at work. The full assessment covers five skills: AI task strategy, prompting and interaction quality, critical evaluation and validation, ethical and responsible use, and workflow integration and output quality. At this level, questions focus on AI basics, from choosing suitable tasks and writing simple prompts to spotting obvious errors and following responsible-use guidelines. Each question describes a realistic workplace situation and asks which response fits best, with four options to choose from.

Ethical & Responsible Use

Beginner

Question

You want to improve the wording of an internal strategy document marked “Confidential.” You could use a free online AI tool or your company’s approved AI tool. What should you do?

Select your answer

Use the company’s approved AI tool, which has been cleared for internal documents, instead of the free one.

Use the free tool, but delete the word “Confidential” from the document before pasting it in.

Paste only the paragraphs you want to improve into the free tool, as long as they contain no financial figures.

Ask your manager whether the free tool is acceptable before you use it on the document.

WHY IS THIS THE CORRECT ANSWER

Free public AI tools may store or reuse what you type, so confidential material can leave the company’s control. Approved tools have been checked for these risks, which makes them the right choice. Removing labels or pasting in excerpts doesn’t make confidential content safe to share.

AI Task Strategy

Beginner

Question

You ask an AI assistant what time your team’s meeting is tomorrow, and it gives a confident answer. Why shouldn’t you rely on it?

Select your answer

Unless it’s connected to your calendar, the AI can’t see your schedule and may invent a plausible time.

AI tools usually know your schedule, but their answers are sometimes a few minutes off.

AI tools can’t handle questions about dates and times, so their answers to them are always wrong.

The AI may be working in a different time zone, so you should ask it to convert the time first.

WHY IS THIS THE CORRECT ANSWER

An AI assistant can only work with the information it has access to. Without a connection to your calendar, it may give a confident answer that is simply made up. Knowing what a tool can and can’t see helps you decide which questions to ask it and which to check elsewhere.

Prompting & Interaction Quality

Beginner

Question

You want an AI assistant to write new product descriptions in the same style as your existing ones. What should you include in your prompt?

Select your answer

One or two of your existing descriptions as examples, and a request to match their style and length.

A summary of your company’s history, so the AI understands the brand before it starts writing.

A request to write in a “good style,” trusting the AI to choose a tone that suits your products.

A list of words describing your preferred style, such as “friendly” and “concise,” without examples.

WHY IS THIS THE CORRECT ANSWER

Showing the AI real examples is one of the clearest ways to communicate a style, because it can match the length, structure and wording directly. Descriptive words help a little, but “friendly” and “concise” can be interpreted in many different ways.

Critical Evaluation & Validation

Beginner

Question

An AI assistant gives you a quote, attributed to a well-known business leader, to use on a presentation slide. What should you do?

Select your answer

Check the quote against a reliable original source before using it, and leave it out if you can’t verify it.

Ask the AI to name the source of the quote, and use it on the slide if the AI provides one.

Paraphrase the idea in your own words on the slide, without attributing it to any particular person.

Use the quote as provided, since it sounds like something that business leader would plausibly say.

WHY IS THIS THE CORRECT ANSWER

AI tools often produce quotes that sound authentic but were never actually said, and they can invent a matching source just as easily. Checking the original source before using a quote protects your credibility. Paraphrasing without attribution is a safe fallback, but asking the AI to confirm its own output isn’t verification.

Workflow Integration & Output Quality

Beginner

Question

An AI assistant drafted a meeting summary that you plan to send to attendees. It assigns one action to “the marketing team,” but that action was actually given to Sam. What should you do?

Select your answer

Correct the owner to Sam, then check the other actions against your notes before sending.

Correct the owner to Sam and send the summary, since the rest of it looks accurate.

Send the summary as written, since the marketing team will pass the action on to Sam.

Ask the AI to rewrite the whole summary, then send the new version without further checks.

Next

WHY IS THIS THE CORRECT ANSWER

Accuracy of AI-drafted work is the sender’s responsibility, and one wrong detail is a sign that others may be wrong too. Fixing the error and checking the remaining actions against your own notes means attendees receive a summary they can rely on.
