The Holland Code, also known as the Holland Occupational Themes (RIASEC), is a career assessment framework that categorizes people and jobs into six personality types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional. Developed by psychologist John Holland, this model helps individuals identify careers that align with their interests, strengths, and preferences. Each person’s Holland Code is a combination of their top three types, which provides insight into suitable career paths and work environments. In HR, the Holland Code can guide career counseling, improve job fit, and enhance employee satisfaction by aligning roles with individuals' natural tendencies and strengths.
